[ oo1. ] Be respectful of everyone else on this site.
You need to treat everyone on this site the way that you wish to be treated, no more or no less. We don’t want this site to die, and the best way to prevent that is to avoid conflict. We like healthy roleplaying environments, and I’m sure many of the members that join do, so if you have a problem with this site, I suggest you stop reading the rules now and leave.

[ oo2. ] No racism or prejudices of any kind.
I know that some people can be like this, but we’d like to keep prejudice to a minimum. This goes along with following the respect rule. Whether someone is of a different race, culture or religion, give you no right to cause any harm on our site, and if you have a problem with that, as I said before, you can take your problems somewhere other than our board.

[ oo3. ] Spamming.
Okay, we all know we love to spam once and a while. But please, no spamming profiles, or roleplay threads. The spamming section is the out of character section. That’s where all the fun and games are. So please, outside of the out of character forum and aim chat rooms and such, keep the spam to a minimum.

[ oo4. ] Advertising.
Advertising is allowed, but only in the ‘Plug Your Board’ forum. And in order to plug you board, you must plug ours back. If we go visit your site and find out you haven’t plugged us, your board advertisement will be deleted.

[ oo5. ] Acceptance.
Before you can begin roleplaying, you must post an application for your character, whether it be canon or original, and you must wait for it to be approved by an admin. If we are not around to accept it, please do not get angry, we do have lives, but that doesn’t mean that we will never accept it. You’ll just have to wait, and we will get to it whenever we can. And please remember, no middle names included in character names.

[ oo6. ] OOC Names.
Okay, so I know this may seem like an invasion of privacy, but this is how I've always RP'ed and always will. On nearly all the forums I was on, people used real names, or at least real life nicknames. I hate it when people call you by your character's names, I don't know why, but it irritates me. So, if you can, try to use real names.

in character;;

[ oo1. ] This site’s rating is R.
If any of you are uncomfortable with that, you can leave now. We’re all mature, we know drugs, alcohol and sex happens in life, especially with teenagers locked up in a boarding school all year long. Sex and such is allowed to happen, but if you think it’s going to be a little graphic, which we refrain from, just so you know, please put a warning in the title so that no one has to read it if they ever stumble upon it.

[ oo2. ] NO god-moding!
You are NOT to control any character, but your own. If someone happens to get into a fight, you do not do this;;

Danny swung his arm around furiously, striking Keith right in the jaw, sending Keith to the ground in a shocked and painful manner.

It is not your responsibility to write what happens to the other character, unless the roleplayer gives you permission to. I do not want to see any god-moding, for it is wrong, and selfish. You control no character but your own.

[ oo3. ] Please write in third person.
Please, do not write in first person, it can get extremely irritating to some of the more advanced players on this site. So, instead of typing something like;;

Haley walks in, and takes a seat next to John. “Hi John,” she says and smiles at him.

Or something like;;

I walk into the classroom, and look around at all my fellow classmates. Boy, things sure have changed.

Try something more like;;

Haley walked into the classroom, observing all of her classmates. Things sure did change over the summer, and she was glad to be back at school to see all of her friends again.

Please, no present-tense or first person writing. Stick to third person.

[ oo4. ] No one-liners.
One liners are probably the biggest evil of roleplaying. Of course, I’ve been there when I first started, but keep in mind that this is a semi-literate, to literate site. The minimum posting amount that we wish from you guys is two paragraphs. You can go above that to your hearts desire, but please, do no less. Remember: Hoes over bros.

[ oo5. ] Deaths, pregnancies, etc. If you want your canon (or original) character to get pregnant or die eventually during the roleplay, please notify one of the admins and explain your reasoning behind the fate of your character. If we do not approve it, it is not acceptable. Admins have the final word here. But, if you think you have a good enough reason for it, please run it by us and we will try to accommodate you as best we can.

graphics;;

[ oo1. ] Signatures.
Okay. So, if you’re going to have one graphic for your signature, please make sure that it is no larger than 400x300, and that there is only one image. As for icons, you are allowed no more than eight, preferably two rows of four. Or something like that, but no more than eight, and please do not make the board stretch with the size of your signature, or it will be removed and replaced with a note by the admins.

[ oo2. ] Avatars.
Your avatars must have a picture of your character, and they can be no larger than 120x120. If it exceeds this, it will automatically be resized, and you will more than likely have to pick a new avatar.
